Business Settings

Accounting basis, fiscal year, invoice branding, tax, printers, and feature toggles.

What it does

Everything that configures how one business behaves: cash or accrual accounting basis, fiscal year start, accounting period locking, currency, tax settings, invoice logo and branding, receipt and kitchen printers, industry, and which optional modules (Point of Sale, Kitchen Display, Job Cards, table service) are switched on.

Why it matters

Two businesses on the same account can be run completely differently — a print shop and a café share almost nothing operationally. Per-business settings are what let one system serve both without either seeing the other's clutter.

How to use it

  1. Open Business Settings from the Administration section.
  2. Work through the cards; each saves independently, so a change to tax settings can't be lost by an unrelated field.
  3. Toggle the optional modules this business actually uses — the navigation updates to match.

Main buttons and actions

  • Set accounting basis
  • Lock accounting period
  • Upload invoice logo
  • Toggle modules
  • Configure printers

Example workflow

  1. Configured shortly after Business Setup.
  2. Revisited when the business changes — a new module, a new fiscal year, a rebrand.
  3. Period locking is used at close to stop back-dated edits to a filed period.
