Terms of Service
The agreement between you and Print Ledgers when you use the software.
Plain-English summary, which is not the agreement itself: your business data is yours, we keep it private and backed up, you are responsible for what you put in it and for your own tax and accounting filings, and either of us can end the arrangement.
-
Who these terms are between
"We" and "us" mean Print Ledgers. "You" means the person or business using the service. By creating an account or using the service you accept these terms. If you are accepting on behalf of a company, you confirm you are authorised to do so.
-
Your account
You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for everything done under your account, including by team members you invite. Tell us promptly if you believe an account has been compromised.
You must give accurate account information and keep it current. We may suspend an account we reasonably believe is being used for fraud, to break the law, or in a way that threatens the security or availability of the service for others.
-
Your data stays yours
You own the business records you enter — customers, vendors, orders, invoices, inventory, employees, and the accounting entries generated from them. We claim no ownership of it and do not sell it, rent it, or use it to train anything.
We access your data only to operate the service, to fix a problem you have reported, or where the law requires it.
-
Accounting and tax are your responsibility
The service produces bookkeeping records, financial statements, and tax summaries from what you enter. It is a tool, not an accountant. We do not provide accounting, tax, or legal advice, and figures the software produces are only as accurate as the data behind them.
You remain responsible for your own filings, for choosing the right accounting basis and fiscal year, and for having a qualified professional review your books where your jurisdiction requires it.
-
Availability, updates, and maintenance
We aim to keep the service available continuously, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. Planned maintenance and software updates may make the service briefly unavailable; where we can, we show a maintenance page rather than failing silently.
We may add, change, or remove features. We will not remove a significant feature you rely on without reasonable notice.
-
Backups
We take regular backups of the database and retain a limited number of recent copies. Backups are a disaster-recovery measure for the service as a whole and are not a substitute for your own records. You can export your data from the reporting screens at any time, and we recommend you do so periodically.
-
Acceptable use
Do not use the service to break the law, to store data you have no right to hold, to attempt to access another customer's data, to probe or disrupt the security or availability of the service, or to resell access without our agreement.
-
Fees
Paid plans are billed in advance for the period shown on the pricing page. Fees are non-refundable except where required by law or where we have failed to provide the service. We will give reasonable notice before changing the price of a plan you are on.
-
Ending the arrangement
You may stop using the service and close your account at any time. We may end or suspend your access if you materially breach these terms, or with reasonable notice if we discontinue the service.
Export anything you want to keep before you close an account. After closure we delete or anonymise account data on our normal schedule, except where we must retain records to meet a legal obligation.
-
Liability
The service is provided as-is. To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost profits, or lost data, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the fees you paid us in the twelve months before it arose.
Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
-
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The date at the top shows when they last changed, and we will give notice of material changes. Continuing to use the service after a change means you accept the updated terms.
