Privacy Policy
What we collect, why we collect it, and what we never do with it.
The short version: we collect what the software needs to work and nothing extra. We do not sell your data, we do not share it with advertisers, and there are no third-party tracking scripts on this site or in the app.
-
Data you give us directly
Account details. Your name, email address, and a password. Passwords are stored only as a one-way hash — we cannot read yours, and neither can anyone who obtains the database.
Business records. Everything you enter to run your business: customers and their contact details, vendors, orders, invoices, payments, inventory items, expenses, and the accounting entries generated from them.
Employee records, if you use payroll: names, pay details, shifts, and punch-clock times for the people you employ. You are the controller of that data; we process it on your behalf.
Messages you send us through the contact form or by email.
-
Data collected automatically
Security and audit records. When someone signs in or performs a significant action, we record who did what and when, along with the IP address and browser user-agent of the session. This is what lets an account owner see their own login history and revoke a session they do not recognise.
Error diagnostics. When something goes wrong, the server logs the error so it can be fixed. Logs are retained for a limited period and then removed.
There are no analytics trackers, advertising pixels, or third-party scripts on this site or in the application.
-
Cookies
We set two, both essential: your session, so you stay signed in between pages, and — if you pick a region on the pricing page — which region's prices to show you next time. Neither is used for tracking, profiling, or advertising, and there is nothing to opt into because there is nothing optional being set.
We do not look up your location from your IP address. If a network provider in front of this site tells us which country a request came from, we use it only to preselect a currency on the pricing page, and we don't store it.
Your browser also stores a small amount of local data for the app itself — your theme choice, and an in-progress order draft so a dropped connection doesn't lose your work. That never leaves your device.
-
Why we process it
To provide the service you signed up for; to keep accounts secure and detect abuse; to back up and restore data; to reply when you contact us; and to meet legal obligations. That is the complete list.
-
Who we share it with
We do not sell or rent personal data, and we do not share it with advertisers.
We share it only with the infrastructure providers needed to run the service — hosting, and the email provider that delivers transactional mail such as password resets and purchase orders you choose to send. Where you configure your own backup destination, backups go where you point them.
We will disclose data if the law compels it, and will tell you unless we are legally prevented from doing so.
-
Separation between businesses
If you run more than one business on one account, each business's data is stored and queried separately. A team member invited to one business cannot see another's records, and role permissions are enforced on the server rather than by hiding buttons in the interface.
-
How long we keep it
Business records are kept for as long as your account is active, because they are your books. Audit and diagnostic logs are kept for a limited period and then removed. Backups roll off on a retention schedule, so deleted data disappears from backups too within that window.
When you close an account we delete or anonymise its data, except where a legal obligation requires us to retain a record.
-
Security
Traffic is encrypted in transit. Passwords are hashed, never stored in readable form. Sign-in is rate-limited against brute force, sessions can be listed and revoked by their owner, and destructive administrative actions require explicit typed confirmation and are written to the audit trail.
No system is perfectly secure. If a breach affects your data we will tell you and describe what happened.
-
Your rights
You can access and correct your data directly in the app, and export it from the reporting screens at any time. You can ask us to delete your account and its data. Depending on where you live you may also have rights to restrict or object to processing, or to receive your data in a portable format — email us and we will help.
-
Children
The service is for businesses and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 16 as a user of the service.
-
Changes to this policy
If we change what we collect or why, we will update this page and the date at the top, and give notice of material changes.
