What it does
Shift scheduling for the team, plus an employee self-service view: staff sign in with their own login to see their upcoming shifts and punch in and out. A new shift starts as a draft, invisible to the employee, so a manager can build out and edit a roster before anyone sees it; publishing one shift, or a whole date range at once (e.g. "publish the next two weeks"), is a separate explicit action, capped at 31 days ahead. An existing shift's time or employee can be edited or reassigned, not just cancelled and recreated. Employees see an approximate payout — gross pay right after clocking out, and a running gross-plus-estimated-net total for the week on My Shifts, using their own personal tax percentage — clearly labelled as an estimate since it excludes flat per-period withholding and business-wide deduction rules a real payroll run computes precisely. Every shift created, edited, reassigned, published, cancelled, or deleted logs to the affected employee's own profile page alongside their upcoming shifts.
