DocumentationRecurring Transactions

Recurring Transactions

Rent, subscriptions, and standing bills posted automatically on schedule.

What it does

Templates for transactions that repeat on a fixed schedule — rent, insurance, software subscriptions, standing vendor bills — which post themselves on their due dates instead of waiting to be re-typed each month.

Why it matters

Fixed monthly costs are the ones most likely to be forgotten in a busy month, and the ones that most distort a P&L when they land three weeks late in the wrong period.

How to use it

  1. Open Recurring Transactions from the Bookkeeping section.
  2. Create a template with the amount, category or account, and frequency.
  3. Review upcoming occurrences, and pause or end a template when the commitment stops.

Main buttons and actions

  • + New Recurring
  • Pause / Resume
  • End template
  • View upcoming

Example workflow

  1. Set the template up once when the commitment starts.
  2. Each occurrence posts on schedule to the right period.
  3. The template is paused or ended when the commitment does.
